Step-by-step instructions for using the Karaoke app

Tap the Search tab at the top of the screen.

Type a song title, artist name, or Chinese characters in the search bar and tap Search.

Tap ▶ Play now to play immediately, or + Add to playlist to save the song.

Switch between ☰ List and ▦ Grid view using the toggle below the search bar.
💡 Top Songs appear by default before you search — tap any to play or add directly.

Tap Playlist in the nav bar to manage your playlists.

Type a name and tap + Create playlist to make a new one.

Tap a playlist header to expand it. Each song has ▶ Play, + Next, ⇄ Move, and ✕ Remove.

Use ▶ Play all to queue the entire playlist and jump to Now Singing.

Open a playlist and tap 🎤 Fetch lyrics next to any song.

A dialog opens with pre-filled Song Title and Artist fields. Always check and correct these before searching — YouTube titles often include extra words that confuse the lyrics database.

Tap 🔍 Search lyrics and pick the best match from the results.

Once saved, the song shows ♪ Lyrics saved. Use 🎤 Re-fetch to try again anytime.
⚠️ Key tip: Use the clean song title and artist name (e.g. "My Heart Will Go On" + "Céline Dion") rather than the full YouTube video title. This single step makes the biggest difference in match quality.

👁 Lyric View — hides the video and shows only the scrolling lyrics on a black background. Audio keeps playing. Great for reading along without the video.

⛶ Karaoke Mode — full-screen lyrics overlaid on top of the video. The current line is highlighted in blue. Controls auto-hide after 3 seconds; tap to show them again.

Use the Offset selector to shift lyrics earlier or later if they feel out of sync.

Tap Now Singing in the nav. Use ⏮ ⏸/▶ ⏭ to control playback.

The Up Next queue shows upcoming songs. Remove or reorder directly from the queue.

Tap + Add song to open a quick panel — browse your playlists and queue a song without leaving the player.

In Lyric View or Karaoke Mode, lyrics scroll automatically. If they fall out of sync, tap the line that is currently being sung.

The video seeks to that exact moment and lyrics re-sync from that point forward.

If lyrics are consistently early or late, adjust the Offset control in the player.
💡 No lyrics? Go back to the Playlist page, find the song, and tap 🎤 Fetch lyrics first.
